Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions stated below apply for purchases and deliveries from rifraf. They apply in all cases except those where a written agreement has been entered into by you, the customer, and rifraf.  Rifraf will not be liable in the event of orthographical errors, typographical errors, sold out goods, changes in delivery procedures from our suppliers or delays beyond the control of rifraf. 
 
Prices and Payment
All rifraf’s prices are displayed in Danish currency (DKK) including tax/VAT. You may place your order through our web shop where we accept the following forms of payment: Dankort, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, eDankort, VisaElectron, and bank transfers. 
If you wish to pay by bank transfer you must use the following information:

When you buy, you must remember to pay all fees for the transfer. If not we will contact you.
For purchases paid through bank transfers, the time of delivery is calculated according to the date of payment registration.
 
Placement of orders and delivery
You are ensured the price agreed upon at time of ordering when you place your order. Upon completing and placing your order you will receive an order confirmation from rifraf. Please be aware that this e-mail may be blocked by your spam filter preventing you from seeing it in your inbox.
 
Orders to be delivered in Denmark will be delivered by PostDanmark. We will always endeavour to ship orders that are in stock within 24 hours. Orders will always be shipped to the address which you, the customer, have given. You will therefore typically receive your order within 1-2 business days of ordering. However, delays may occur in connection with weekends, holidays, and vacations. If your order is not in stock the delivery time will be longer – typically 5-6 business days. The above does not apply in cases where goods are discontinued or on back order. The delivery will usually take longer for goods to be shipped outside of Denmark. We will always attempt to ship foreign orders with the carrier offering the best prices.
 
Items damaged during shipping
Generally your lamp is insured by PostDanmark or rifraf (depending on the value of the lamp) during shipping. However, immediately upon receiving your order you must examine it for damages incurred during shipping. If the packaging is severely damaged this must be noted on the receipt from PostDanmark. You should always keep the receipt. In case the contents/goods have also been damaged during shipping you should refuse to accept the delivery and report this to rifraf as soon as possible. From the time of delivery, liability for the goods lies with you, the customer. 
 
Right of return
According to the Danish Sale of Goods Act you have a 14 day right of return. In addition rifraf offers an additional 14 day right of return as an extra service. In other words, you may – without further explanation – choose to return your purchase to rifraf within 28 days for a full refund. However, the return will only be accepted if the goods are returned in its original, undamaged, and complete packaging. In addition the goods must be returned to us in the same condition and quantity as it was received by you. Light bulbs can only be returned if in original and intact packaging. If you wish to return a purchase you, the customer, will hold the expenses entailed with the return. Please remember to state your order number.
 
Claims
In accordance with the Danish Sale of Goods Act all purchases from rifraf come with a 2 year claims right  This means that you, the customer, have the right to make a complaint regarding defects arising within 2 years of purchase. The claims right is only valid if the defects are not caused by reckless behaviour or misuse of the goods. You must make your claim within a reasonable time period after having noticed the defect. If it is done within 2 months time it is regarded as timely. Rifraf offers no warranty for light bulbs/light sources as they fall within the category of wearing parts which are not covered by the claims right. Assuming that the claim is justified rifraf will cover reasonable shipping charges equalling the normal rates of PostDanmark. If you – contrary to our expectations – should need to make a claim with us you must send the purchase receipt along with a description of your claim to:

Special conditions for industrial and commercial customers
The same sales conditions apply for both customer groups except for the following modifications. Industrial and commercial customers have no right of return. The claims right expire 1 year from the original date of invoice. Exchanges and repairs do not entail a resetting of the 1 year claims right. Rifraf reserves the right of ownership of goods purchased on credit until such time where the full purchase price has been paid. All costs in connection with the enforcement of a conditional sale lie with the buyer. Upon the date of payment, the accruing interest per month or fraction of a month is 3%.
